Summer Camp 2026 Report

“The Promise” 2026 Summer Camp season has finished, and the Lord Jesus made it a wonderful blessing. Since Covid, we’ve experienced a dip in the total number of campers each season, having just below five hundred in attendance. We are thankful to the Lord for bringing us those campers, but our desire is always to reach more! We were prompted to pray the Lord would bring us more campers to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with, and He did just that this year! Even though we condensed our camp season from seven to six weeks, we had 533 campers attend this 2026 summer season.

With your support and prayers, 49 campers placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for the gift of eternal life. Those campers who already trusted in Christ for salvation were encouraged with the assurance of having the gift of eternal life based on Jesus’ Promise by believing in Him (1 John 5:11-13), not on how well they live the Christian life.

Our guest speakers (Thad Blount, Josiah Coile, and Sherman Soileau), our Summer Servers, and our teachers proclaimed the Gospel of Grace, but also challenged these campers to faithfulness in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

We look forward now to sending out the “First Steps: For Growing Believers” pamphlet to these new believers. Please keep them and all our campers in prayer as they head back to school.

Also, please pray for our new Assistant Camp Director, Nathan McBride, as he begins learning the responsibilities of that position, while I take on the responsibilities of becoming the Executive Director of Camp Pearl Ministries.
