Online Chapel News
As you may know, Online Chapel will be starting on Monday, July 6 at 7:00 p.m. and will air every Monday-Friday Night from then until July 24. While each of us were hoping to meet together for summer camp, we are excited about the opportunity that the Lord has before us to not only present God’s Word to a select group of youth on a weekly basis but to the community…anyone and everyone who simply has the time to sit down and watch with their family. This isn’t for kids, this isn’t for high schoolers, for young adults or seniors; this is for everyone! So we ask you to do 2 things: 1) Pray for God to be glorified, for everything to work properly, for lost people to be found and for believers to be encouraged 2) Join us! I think you’ll be glad you did.
Speakers for each week:
July 6-10 @ 7:00 p.m. each night – Todd Burden, founder and CEO of Inbounds Ministries and the President of Make It Clear Students. At Inbounds Ministries, Todd and his team use athletics, academics and the arts to share the good news of Jesus and to encourage students to live “on mission.” If you’d like to learn more about Todd or the ministry God has given him or if you’re wanting to support that ministry, get on inbounds.info.
July 13-17 @ 7:00 p.m. each night – Freddie Coile, Founder and CEO of Focus Evangelistic Ministries and Founder/Director of Grace Farm. The target of Focus is to clearly communicate the gospel of grace to unbelievers and solid Bible teaching to believers in order to nurture them to grow and walk in fellowship with Jesus Christ. If you’d like to learn more Freddie or how you can support or be a part of what God is doing through Focus, check out freddiecoile.org.
July 20-24 @ 7:00 p.m. each night – Don Barrett and Sam Buzzard. Well, I think most of you know us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t remind you of our purpose at Camp Pearl. We exist to support and serve the local church and the needs of their communities by offering retreats, rentals, camps and conferences all year long. And while that may look a little different this year due to this pandemic we are in, we hope you know we care about you, we care about your churches, and we care about the individuals that make up those churches. That’s why we’re hosting this event. Because God’s Word matters to us and because God’s people matter to us, we hope to get God’s Word to God’s people even if we can’t do so in person. Would you pray for us as we take on this endeavor? Also, if you’d like to learn more about Camp Pearl Ministries or if you’d like to continue to support us as we serve, get on camppearl.com.
To Sign In To Online Chapel:
On Facebook, take a second to “like” Camp Pearl’s page (there are 2 Camp Pearls…we’re the one with a little guy holding 2 huge boxing gloves.) At 7:00, a live video will begin on the page. Just click it, and you should be good to go.
On YouTube, just search for Camp Pearl or Camp Pearl Online Chapel. At 7:00, click to live video, and follow along.
On Instagram, follow @camp_pearl_ministries. We’re hoping to have a live video available on there each night as well.
Please comment on the videos! We’re hoping this will be a community event where friends watch and talk about it all together. Share your thoughts, ask for prayers, let one another know how God used the message in your own life. While we can’t physically be together, let’s be together in spirit during this time!
2 Last Notes:
-In preparation for summer camp, we purchased hundreds of 2020 Camp Pearl t-shirts. Now that we’re not able to meet together for camp, we’re selling those shirts as a fund raiser for the camp. If you’d like to buy one for $20 ($17 for the shirt, $3 for shipping), email email@example.com; and she’ll make sure to send one your way! (The little picture on the right is the front of the shirt.) Thanks in advance for supporting the ministry of Camp Pearl! Together we do more!
-While we can’t host overnight camps, if you, your youth group, church leadership team, some friends, a family reunion group, your office staff, your school, etc. would like to use our facilities for a day (or multiple days in a row); call Don at (337) 666-2443 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
